Are you currently in a business class? If so, you should stop by room 209 at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, September 7th for an informational meeting regarding Business Professionals of America-BPA. Donuts will be provided! SADD will have its first meeting of the year today, in Mr. Morelock's room 405 at 7:00 AM. We will be electing officers and discussing upcoming events. Please plan to attend. ATTENTION ART CLUB: Please plan to attend a meeting today at 3:00 in Mrs. Renwick's room. We will be voting for officers and a t-shirt design. T-shirt money will be due. Please see Mrs. Renwick if you cannot attend this meeting. Any BOY or GIRL interested in playing basketball needs to see the shoe rep on September 13 th during lunch to get their shoe size. Be sure to bring any ankle braces, etc. as the size you order is the size you will get, final. The Student to Student Mentoring Program and the SMS Mentoring Program are still in need of more junior and senior guys to apply to become a mentor. Please consider joining us for this very fun and helpful program! Pick up an application in the Counseling Office and return it to Mrs. Hoeflinger as soon as possible. F.C.A. stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is a student organization completely run by students. You don't need to be an athlete to participate. The year, the huddle will meet on the 1 st and 3 rd Friday of each month before school at 6:45 am. Our first huddle meeting will be this Friday in the Golden Bear Room. Refreshments will be served. If you have any questions, see Mr. Shively or Mr. Bradburn. This is a reminder that Japanese Club will meet today to work on our Homecoming banner. We will meet in sensei's room today. Bring clothes that can afford to get dirty. The quiz team is in need of new members from all grades. If you like trivia and a challenge, you should come to the first practice this Friday in room 232. See Mrs. Schwickrath or Mr. von Werder for details. There will be a brief informational meeting for anyone that is interested in wrestling this year that is not playing a fall sport this Friday right after school in Coach Hall's room 228. This meeting will not take more than 10 min. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Hall. JAG students are still running Minute To Win It games during lunch periods through next Tuesday. T-shirts will be awarded to the fastest contestant in each game per day. Yesterday's winners were: Bryan Springmere who stacked 5 apples in 31 seconds, and Mr. Zobel who successfully flipped 12 pencils off his hand and caught them in 42 seconds. Lindsay Martin got all 8 ping pong balls out of her “trunk” in just 20 seconds. Only $1 per game so come on out and play! During the Wednesday pep rally it will be team play – students versus teachers. Students win – pizza party. Teachers win - free period. But you won't have a chance to play at the pep rally if you don't play during lunch. Don't wait until the last day……come on out today! Anyone interested in researching and building sustainable technologies at SHS meet in room 233 Tuesday, 9/7, after school for about 45 minutes. Please contact Mr. Lux if you cannot attend. Attention Freshman Powder Puff players! There will be a practice tonight at 6:15. See Chris Scudder or Chris Uhls with any questions. Any girl interested in playing basketball this year that is not in a fall sport should attend pre-season workouts on Tuesday, 9/7, and Thursday, 9/9, from 3:00-4:30. Questions? See Coach Norris.
